Hi folks, Just bought a super a with belly cultivators that has been sitting in a barn for a long time. The owner inherited it. He stated that someone started it 15 years ago just to see if it would run but it hadn't been used for 30 years or so. I got it home and had it running the same night. It seems to be in good shape for the most part.
The main problem I am having is with the release bearing. The carrier will turn 90 degrees and the fork will not catch it. I can get my hand in there and rotate it back and it will stay for a while but it is very loose and will turn again eventually. I am wondering if there are some retainer springs missing or something?
I bought this tractor to cultivate weeds in organic garlic that I am growing for farmers market and health food stores in our area. I have a mf 255 with a front end loader but i wanted something a little more nimble to work in the field after it is planted.
