What is best way to loosen those taper bolts in drive shaft behind clutch? Looks like all have to come out, and rubber washer spacers so heat will ruin them. Thanks for any help. Doug

Put some PB on them. with a wrench on each end back off the nut some. Than turn the bolt to brake loose from flange. Do not hit with hammer as you will brake the flange. oldiron29

I haven't seen what you're working with but it sounds like a taper headed bolt. If it's like a taper headed allen bolt, I have a little trick that will help. An old pulp wooder friend of mine told me about this and it sure works great. If you can find a punch that will fit does in side of the hole in the top of the bolt, you can give it a good rap or two with a good size hammer. That will expand the area of the bolt just below the head and relieve some pressure on the taper. Then, you can remove it fairly easily with an impact wrench. I hope this helps.

Got it with PB and 1'' wrench and big hamer. Thanks for the help. Now the pressure plate is 1 solid rust. Put it in bottom of parts wash but don't think I want to reuse. Doug

Thanks Nebraska Cowman. I got a parts tractor with it so I am hoping the pressure plate is good but will keep u in mind.
