I have a 1939 Farmall H that runs on propane. It starts OK. My problem is the ensign carb is wide open so propane just spews out the bottom. So I'm going through propane like crazy. I'm thinking of rigging a throttle cable to bottom of the carb. I'm however hesitant as this may not be the original way of doing this. So I'm stuck on one speed but spewing propane like crazy. If I close the carb at the very bottom slowly it revs faster, but if I close it all the way it chokes out and dies but does rev up sweetly. The throttle arm does absolutely nothing. I checked the governor to see if the spring was in there and it looked OK. I Will replace. Any advice on this issue is good advise. Thank you. I will post some pictures of the carb ASAP.
