Auction score on bent up bolts

Went to big auction today and saw a few Plow Chief items. i.e. points, shares and such didn't get any of those went to high, but the hawks missed a box of these plow chief point bolts.
Scored them for $13, guy next to me said to his buddy " why in the world would anyone pay 13 bucks for bent up bolts"

I guess the jokes on me.
 
I had a 3x14 plow, with those extended nose shares on them , but never dropped it in the ground, and traded that for a 3x16. Good thing maybe, if it took those kind of bolts, because i darned well dont have any bolts like that.
 

That's a great score at a great price. It's pretty darn hard to mount the types of points that use those bolts without those bolts. I know, I've tried.

score. went to one today.love when that happens..its hard to out bid them cause i aint got there money.but some times they talk to much and SCORE........dewy
 
Nice score. I have replaced a few points, shins and moldboards in my time, but never on any plows that took an odd bolt like that.

I would certainly be cussing it too. Hate it when engineers design something that defies logic and requires special hardware when an alternative design would have allowed a traditional common plow bolt to be utilized.
 
Looks like you bought 2 or 3 and got about 40 extra ones for free. Or you could say you bought the nuts and got the "bent" bolts for free.
