New to me Fergurson

I normally stay with Ford tractors to fix and show but yesterday I acquired a 1956 Ferguson F-40 without really knowing what it was. I was
attracted by the 4 new tires and it runs but not to well.

So now I find out these are not all that common I should try to restore it back to original I think. Looks like the only parts I would need are the
grill, hood emblem and seat.

Are these available anywhere?

And does anyone know what that bracket under the belly is for?

They probably also have the cushions for it. www.asfabricating.com should get you to the people that make the grille. I am not familiar with the part under the belly. The front top hood piece that includes a screen and the numbers 4 0 and the chrome piece that goes around it can be found on ebay occasionally. That would be a great piece once you have it restored.
 
norm, looks like it was at an auction. If you don't mind what did it go for. PM me as I might be able to help with some parts on the front.
 
Thanks Richard. I checked your references and found good information. Pricey but available and that is good to know if I go forward. I'll look for used for awhile first.

I am going to think that bar bolted under the mid section was for a light duty manure loader.
That's a serious looking grill screen... I like it!!!

Definitely a bracket for a loader. I have 11/2 of them here in parts. I've been meaning to use one of those brackets to make a jackstand for splitting tractors.
 
Yeh, someone put a lot of work into that grill. Maybe I should put some chrome exaust on it and call it good. ... Hot Rod Fergie!
