Repair sleeve for 3000 steering shaft

Hi.
I'm replacing the power steering lip seal on the steering wheel shaft of a Ford 3000 tractor. I've had to replace this seal 3 times so far. Each time, it last for 2 to 3 years. This is due to wear and pitting on the sealing surface. I have heard reference to a repair sleeve on this forum, but I can't find any specific data on it, such as a part number, or web site link, etc. Does anyone have any reference to this repair sleeve? Thanks.

You want what's called a speedi sleeve. Measure the diameter of the shaft where the seal rides, and then use the link below to find the right
part number. NAPA (or similar) can usually get them for you.

Someone else here might know the exact part number.

When we repair a steering box with a damaged shaft we prefer to take the shaft to a machine shop and have them build it up with weld and then turn it back to its original size.

Thanks everyone for their feedback. It looks like the 1974 Ford 3000 with OEM power steering will require Speedi-Sleeve 99085. I found one on eBay for about $14.
