Hello all. Been having some problems with my hydraulics. When I got the tractor a couple months back, the lift worked a few times, then quit. I changed the hydraulic/rear end and tranny fluid because it was very milky. Tried the lift again, worked a couple of times, then quit again. Bought a top cover rebuild kit, rebuilt and adjusted the top cover and replaced the return filter, removed and cleaned the suction filter per the FO-31 manual. Tried the lift again, worked a couple of times and quit again. Next on the list was a pump rebuild. Rebuilt the pump per the manual, reinstalled, decided to do the pressure check. Since I have the 3 position selector valve, I couldn't turn the top plate around per the manual, so I made a gasket to cover the entire mounting area. Checked the pressure, I had nothing on the gauge. I did hear something click as I was closing off the valve behind the pressure gauge, so I thought the relief valve. I pulled the relief valve, installed .060 worth of shims, checked again, still nothing. I'm pulling the pump back off this morning to double check everything. Also, I'm using the Ford spec 134-D fluid. I did notice some wear on the pistons, but they felt good in the bores.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Roger
