Well I suppose it might be common knowledge on YT that you can put lockout hubs on an Elenco 4WD, but until a month ago I had no idea. Mine doesn't have a clutch pack, it's always in 4WD. I had pretty much decided that it would stay on the farm and off any hard surfaced roads.
Then someone posted a photo of a tractor for sale on a Ford Facebook group, and MarkCT, who has an eagle eye for such things, spotted that it had lockout hubs! So I did some Googling and learned that my Elenco has a differential from a M 37 Dodge military Power Wagon. It turns out that there is quite a large enthusiast group for military vehicles, and lots of people wanted their Power Wagons to have lockout hubs too!
Long story still long, there are at least 4 off the shelf choices for lockouts to fit. I ordered a set and put them on today, it was a piece of cake. I love it when a plan comes together.
