'62 2000 4 cylinder carb tips

Hello all,

I am going through the carb on a 1962 2000 4 cyl Ford. This is my first time in a Marvel updraft carb. Anyone have any suggestions, tips, warnings for me?

Have a kit & float on order from Steiner's.

It was last gone through about 12 years ago and recently has begun to seep fuel externally. This week it let a load of fuel into the throat and left a puddle on the ground...

I think it is an FSX 765, having trouble remembering.

TSX 765 is what I have on mine. Type in the search bar Ford tractor Marvel Schebler carb, hit search and when page resets hit search again. It will pull up old posts on the subject. The main thing is not to ream out any jet holes when cleaning them. A torch tip cleaning set is perfect for that but dont use the serrated part, just the end of the tool.
