Help identifying model Ford 82I?

Hi folks, I have an old ford tractor with a loader and backhoe and am trying to locate parts, catalogs with exploded views, manuals, and the numbers I found stamped into the metal behind the starter are 82I. It is a 4 speed transmission so I was not expecting the 2. The "I" is presumably industrial.

It has a ford loader model I9-201 and a Sherman digger model 1168. I pulled the front pump and shaft but still need to get to the crank pulley to get to the stripped out part. The shaft I pulled had tapered splines, from what I've been able to find online it looks like the splines are not supposed to be tapered but straight. I won't know for sure until I can pull the other end but any help finding exploded view diagrams would be greatly appreciated.

This old tractor has good sheet metal and last time I had it running was sweet until the front pump shaft stripped out some gears. Someone has added an alternator in the past but otherwise looks all original.

Any and all help is appreciated.

The 821 is the same as an 841 with the 4 speed transmission, but it came from the factory without a PTO or 3 point hydraulics. Lots of them have had either or both of them added over the years since they were identical to the 841 in all other ways and it was easy to do. You could even buy the kits to add them back in the day.

I9-201 is a 703 series "Extra Heavy Duty Loader". Here is a link to the parts drawings for that loader. What you are looking for in regards to the pump drive shaft and coupling would be in one of the three drawings named "Attaching kit".

Ive never seen one with a tapered spline. I think someone installed the newer style pump driveshaft. That newer style should be in the later models. I think YT carries those with a pic maybe, 6 spline I think. Align your pump as straight as possible. Dont forget to put new belts on first.

That's what I figured about the tapered spline shaft. I will take a measurement from the coupler to the front opening through the axle so I can lay it out on the bench. I see shafts come in different lengths and that may help me confirm how long the shaft is supposed to be.

The tapered spline was probably from being off-center. Kind of like taking a drill bit and wallering out a hole.

Mine says 821
