bought tractor 1 year ago three point hitch didn't work. bought a brush hog, took top cover off clean filter fluid new o rings still no luck. bought a rebuilt pump primed it, three point hitch worked. ran brush hog up and down 10/12 times blew the seals out of new pump. Just plain lost why the relief valve failed and the unloader valve didn't keep up.??????????????????looking for help.

Could be the relief valve is stuck or some PO put washers to lock it in an attempt to get the three point to work. The relief is on the bottom and you have to drain all the fluid from the rear end to remove it. You should get a manual if you don't have one.

You are thinking of the pre-195 4 cylinder 2000's that had the relief valve in the bottom. The 1965+ 3 cylinder 2000's had the safety (relief) valve in the top cover under the blocking plate.

The relief valve has nothing to do blowing seals lifting shredder. On 3000 the system relief is in bottom of r/a hsg and lift cyl safety is at a higher pressure than system. It shouldn't take more than 5-600 psi to lift shredder. There is another problem and unload valve is not it.

You must be referring the the gasket at the head of the pump. If so , check for irregularities on the head plate and the pump body surface. Are the bolts all evenly tight?

Hard to tell from your post just what you are talking about gut IF your tractor is blowing the pump head gaskets and your tractor has a relief valve beneath the sump and accessible by a plate on the bottom of the housing, replace the relief valve with a genuine CNH valve.

My practice, after working on the hydraulic system has been to check for leaks and relief valve operation by dead heading the system against disconnected remotes. I have found more than one aftermarket relief valve that do not relieve at (any?) pressure, and for this and other reasons, avoid aftermarket parts like the plague.
