Fordson Major Diesel problems

I bought a Fordson Major diesel in early spring. It had sat for quite a long time before I got it but actually got it running without TOO much trouble. The first thing is the hood. The hood looks good from the outside but it's just about broke in half from the hinge. Is there anywhere to get parts for these things? Second, the PTO lever doesn't stay engaged unless you hold it up, at least with a brush hog on. I haven't tried it with anything else. Mine has the loader on the front and live hydraulics on the rear. Never used them so I'm not sure if they work. Third, the 3pt drops fast. If I'm mowing I have to keep popping it back up or the front of the brush hog will be eating dirt. Fourth the battery doesn't seem to charge so I was looking for a wiring diagram for this tractor because someone at some point did some major wire rigging on it. Even removed the mechanical fuel pump I'm assuming they had and installed an inline rattle pump. Another thing I was curious about is what should these have for oil pressure? I think mine usually runs around 10psi. It has a Simms injection pump on it and I've read somewhere some of the injection pumps need to have oil in them and wasn't sure if this was one because I don't know how to check it. The tractor itself is in pretty good overall condition. I paid $1000 for it and use it quite frequently. I would really like to find manuals on it and wiring diagrams. It has lights mounted on the front but I see no switch anywhere plus the wires are cut and I can't find any anywhere that look like they would have went to them. This tractor is new to me. I'm used to working on my old case VAC tractors and Allis CA and WC, Oliver 70 and John Deere A and MT. I also got another Fordson with this one that's yellow, the one I have now is blue. I didn't pick the other one up yet. That one I'm thinking is a gasser and doesn't have the bucket up front. If anyone could possibly help me out at all about anything I would greatly appreciate it. as far as your sims pump its not one of those "ones that takes oil" it is what that call a helix port or plunger type pump in line. I don't know what year you have, but the early ones had pneumatic guvnor.

Check out Agriline(U.K.) they carry a lot of parts for Fordson.Ive dealt with them.no problems.Parts get here quickly.

I have found several parts houses the have a limited number of parts but the best has been Unger Tractor. I believe they are in Texas.
