Dexta Hydraulic Questions

My 59' Dexta was having problems holding my 5' bushhog up, and would'nt hold the 3pt at one level... So I tore it apart to rebuild all I can of the hydraulics so I can use it to blade the driveway etc. I have the piston out and the safety valve, but I'm having a hard time finding the "check valve" as shown on my manual. Could anyone tell me where this is located on the tractor, and other possible things I could clean or replace to get the hydraulics working like new! Thanks! 😀

Check valve is behind a hexagon cap right on the front of the lift top cover. There will be a holder, spring and ball in there. Further in there is a removable seat but you will need a special tool to get it out and to replace it so I would leave it alone. If it has been modified to the later seat which is a nylon one then it is easier to get out and replace. same part as a Ford 2/3000.

Check the position control pin where it runs on the lift arm cam. These wear and upset the lift settings.

You will need some information on setting the lift up to get it right, drp me ane-mail if you do not have a repair manual.
