Replacement key for Dexta?

Does anyone know how to get a replacement/duplicate key for a 1961 Dexta. I have one key. It's not in the greatest of shape and I know that eventually I'm going to lose it. I took it to the local locksmith and for the first time ever he hit a dead end trying to find a suitable blank.

How may different keys were there? I'm thinking they may all be the same. I just want to have a couple of spares. It's such a simple pattern I could hand file one from a piece of brass stock in an evening.

ebay aucton # 202030181666, two keys for $6.75, free shipping, IF it matches your key!

Thanks for the tip. The key shape in the auction you referenced is a lot more complex than mine. He's a (bad) picture of my key:

The same seller has another style of Dexta key up for sale:

I'm temped to take a chance and see if it works. My key has only a single notch (on both edges, hard to see in my pic) and it appears to be more of a sharp vee. If I could just get the blank a local locksmith can duplicate the key but he's unable to find any blanks that are even close. Then again, the same seller has an entire aftermarket ignition switch for about $14 (assuming it comes with a key(s).

Be careful with after market switches, I have had five on my Dexta ranging from a few ?'s
to ?46.00 and none have been any good. The key barrel always seems to fall apart or shear
off after a little use. I have original switches on my other tractors that have done
between 50 and 60 years with no problems.

Mmm, I guess I'll keep the original ignition. Or is it the original? Doing some more research I came across the website for QTP (Quality Tractor Parts) in Ireland.

The key shown looks to be the same shape as mine. So maybe the ignition was switched out at some time in the past for one for a Super Major or Massey TEF20.

I'd be curious to know what others keys look like. I'm guessing that they are all the same blank just with different profiles. If I have to order 10 I'd prefer to just get blanks that could be cut by a local locksmith as required. But the locksmith who I've never been able to stump before had no clue as to where he could order blanks of that shape.

So, QTP referred me to a distributor in Canada. But I'd still have to buy Qty 10 which with shipping would have been over $50. Took a chance on the double notched keys on eBay that were similar to mine. Long story short, they work just fine so for less than $7 including shipping I now have two spare keys.
