Case 222 hydraulic lift

New kid on the block with a case 222 from late 1960s would like some help finding the info needed to install a hydraulic lift. Need to know what I need and how to proceed.

There are a large number of parts needed to convert an
"Armstrong Lift" tractor to a Hy Lift model. It is too complicated
to go into here on this forum .

My suggestion would be to use the link below and join there
because you can access the parts manual that is for your tractor.
The only 60's model 222 is the 1969 PK model and it uses a
hydraulic cylinder that sits outside the frame on the right side.
This is not an easy conversion kit to find. If you are wrong about
the year of your tractor, then you will have a better chance of
making this conversion happen.

I bought this tractor last fall and thought I'd checked the the year by the serial number. Can't find a listing for this number somehow. Number is 96490028. Guess I'm not looking in the right place.

You won't find a listing for that number because Case never kept
any records for tractors built prior to 1972. I would say that
your tractor is a 1971. If I am right, then you will have two
spring-loaded pins on the very front of the frame that allow you
to attach the mowing deck and snow blower.

You will also have a red generator light and a large black bakelite
knob just below that light that controls how far the implement
lift will lower. There will be a slot in dash tower with an indicator
that moves up or down depending on which way you rotate that
knob.

Your PTO drive is actuated by a small round knob on the end of
a rod that you push/pull on the lower right side of the dash
tower.

If you go to the site in the link below and join, you may well find
someone there who is willing to put together a complete kit of
the parts you need.

The tractor is as you describe. I wonder if there are manuals showing the hydraulic lift system or maybe attachment manuals showing some of it? At any rate I do appreciate the help you've given If I can't find manuals, I'll figure it out without them.

I guess you don't understand how this forum functions. Twice now,
I have suggested that you click on the word LINK that is below my
posts so that you will be transported to a website that HAS the
manuals you need.

Here it is again. Do I have to come to your home and use your
mouse for you? Hahahahahahahahaha Just asking.

Jeeze, Tom, do you think you give the guy enough hints to join your board? The Case garden tractor board has many guys that will help there plus its the oldest one on the internet. On Yahoo groups.

As a former, long-time member and one of the lead contributors on the Yahoo board, I am well aware of its existence, its age, who is on it and what that board's limitations are when it comes to helping people out.

It's those limitations that propelled me to start the new forum site which now has a daily activity rate that is many times that of the Yahoo site. It it had been possible to answer his question here at YT, I would have done so.. just as I have done many times in the past. Instead, I sent the OP to the place that I felt would give him the most accurate and complete information very quickly. Unlike some other sites, no post ever goes unanswered on my forum. That's our policy.

As for the Yahoo forum, the OP is free to join that one two and then make up his own adult mind as to which site serves him best. Now....that's fair... is it not?

Seriously?
How is it to complicated to give an answer on this forum but not in some other magical kingdom.

When the OP has a correct parts manual to reference, it is much simpler to carry on a dialogue about which parts must be changed. YT is a fantastic forum for a lot of things but it does not host manuals for every make, model and year of tractor.

However Craig, if you have all the answers, then be my guest and help him out. Oh.... and did you notice? No one else on this site replied to his question but me and I did so in a timely fashion to make sure he got help. Where were you?
