when I installed the oil pressure regulator in a jd gator with a fd620d Kawasaki engine it rests just below the casting not contacting the pump end plate is this normal as I can't find a reference to it in the repair manual, spring and ball are new and measure to spec, ball is 13/32 spring free length is .818 spec sheet shows .770.
