case ingersoll mule drives

my 4016 likes to pull wheelies when the tiller is mounted so I got a mule drive awhile back to use instead of a weight box. I welded a 3/8" steel plate to the back to beef it up & welded a 1" steel rod to the front to hang weight lifting weights on. it never occurred to me that there were differences in these mule drives....duh-uh. when I tried to mount it today the top holes were a 1/2 hole off. when I compared it side to side with the mule drive on my mower deck I found that the slots for the lower pins were deeper than the slots on the one I bought. not the end of the world as 30-40 minutes with my die grinder will remedy the problem. I just wish i'd have caught it before I painted it.

I made a front weight mount for mine with one Dan from a mule drive, all it takes is two small pieces of angle iron welded on the drive to bolt the weights to
