John Deere GT225

I am looking to remove the engine from this John Deere GT225 garden tractor. I will have to remove the belt and the PTO from the crankshaft. I have removed the bolt from bottom but it did not come off. What else could be holding this on??? or what attempt do I use to get the PTO and the drive pully off any tips would be appreciated.

The bolt in the end of the crank should release the pto but it might be rusted on, and sometimes belt guards/guides can get in the way. Penetrating fluid and LIGHT prying should do... may need a gear/pulley puller.

Prying is probably not a good idea on a pressed steel pulley.
Penetrant, mild heat, and a puller are better bets.

Note I said pry LIGHTLY.... the pto is not pressed on so it should have literally fallen off when the crankcase bolt was removed and you do not want to be heating up an expensive pto unit.... penetrating fluid and pry LIGHTLY
