I bought a Deere 265 mower from a friend, got it for a really good deal, runs and drives great, he said the mowing belt was broke, i got under there
and found the problem, the small belt that goes on the bottom pulley of the PTO clutch moves the back pulley but the lower front one doesn't move, i
can turn it by hand but when i engage the PTO switch thats when the bottom pulley won't turn, the belt is spinning on it, and nothing on the deck
moves. I was thinking the PTO clutch unit might be bad? I've never dealt with one of these PTO clutch units and didn't know much about how they
work.
