Cub Cadet Diesel 782D

I have a 782D I bought a while back, has a 50 mower deck, snowthrower, snow plow, tire chains, 3 point hitch. I wanted to get opinions on what it's worth if it's pretty much all original. I know it's only worth what someone is willing to pay. I have all the manuals for everything and I just want to see it go to a good home.

FWIW There is one diesel on marketplace here for 3500. 50 deck is only attachment that comes with it. They started at 4500 and came down to 35. Similar condition. Several gas units 1500-2k.

There are also several Cub Cadet groups on FB where you could list it for sale.

That thrower appears to have had a very easy life.

And the jumper cable set up is impressive.

I don't have FB and not likely going to get it to sell a few tractors. I just wanted some thoughts on baseline for pricing.

Nice looking unit - the suggestion below about $2500 sounds like a winner.

There is a big issue you are facing with this cub (as nice as it is). I'd sell it now if you don't plan on keeping it. The interest in conventional garden tractors is dropping. They are good mowers but the new status symbol of the wealthy suburban homeowner is the zero turn - the bigger the better - with cup holders of course. I remember 30 years ago the little Ford 8N was kind of bragging item for wealthy people mowing an acre or 3 on their large lot. Not anymore - the popularity (and ease of use) of the zero turn knocked the little N series completely out of the suburban/homestead market. The garden tractors are losing the same battle - only not as fast but the loss is steady. A unit like that will always be popular with collectors but that's a small market compared to the people with money that think dropping $2000-$4000 on a mower is just what you do.

I see it my own family, a couple of my brothers (that farm) that had big garden tractors they used for mowing have all switched to zero turns. My place is to uneven and steep for a zero turn or I might consider one too.

(quoted from post at 09:49:52 05/22/23) If it needs a new seat and a paintjob to sell, I'd part it out

Silly... just spent 30 seconds and found a new seat 4 miles away at fleet farm. Touching up using a spray bomb is not a paint job. Maybe left over paint from the tractor rims in the background?

UPDATE: SOLD. I do have a 42inch snowthrower and manual for it, as well as front snow plow/dozer blade and the manual for that if anyone is interested I'd like to get just a decent price given that it's July.
