Thank you for answering my question about my plow I pulle dout of weeds. I think it is a #5 little genius 3 bottom plow...

...now for the second one that came out of weeds. This one is an Allis that appears to be a snap couple plow. It too is 3 bottom. But instead of having a ring to attach to the snap coupler it has a flat piece that is kind of pointed at the front and the aproximately 6 inches long where it attaches to the rest of the hitch and it swivels left and right but not up and down. I tried hooking this thing up and could get the arms connected but with out this piece latching on to the coupler of my D-17 it would come out when i attempted to plow........any ideas?

Flewster: I read your other thread, and what you described is a No.8 Little Genius. Now you've decided it is a No.5, however you make no mention of the chain lift. No.5 Little Genius is a chain lift plow. By chain lift it is a flat link chain with sprokets top and bottom on the left wheel, not a logging type chain.

No.5 is also an orchard plow with levers pointing to the rear.

I must have mistyped.........I looked at pics online of little genius plows and there woas one that looked like mine and it had #5 under it..........yes mine has forward pointing lever...........

but this one is an allis snap couple plow..........hopefully I can find my camera and post some pictures.......

The AC plow is the before version to the snap coupler. Remove the pin in the coupler under the tractor and remove coupler. Other hitch should go in. Reinsert pin .
