I'm located on Cedar Creek lake near Mabank, Gun Barrel City, and Athens. I'm looking for a source to replace the 156" v-belt on my 72" brush hog finishing mower but either not searching online properly or there aren't any [u:4756391c50]local[/u:4756391c50] parts sources. I tried Tractor Supply in Athens but they didn't have a clue. I can fall back on ordering online but thought I'd see if I could find one sooner locally.

Anyone familiar with this area have any suggestions?

Any time I am looking for a belt I take the old one to (locally) fleet supply. They can usually match it up.

most auto supply houses should have a belt or can get it overnite...if Athens is big enuff for a TSC it should have a NAPA...i know Dallas does if you wanna drive into town.
 

I had a Bush Hog 720 a couple years back. The dealer wanted about $60.00 for the belt. I found a small independent dealer that sold me one for $32.00. The only problem is the replacement belts are 3/4 wide and would fray one side and once it started to wear it did not last long.
 
Find a place that supplies INDUSTRIAL belts and bearings. They should be able to get you a better belt than the OEM and for less money. Check the yellow pages and online for your area.
