Disc Harrow ID ?????

Ignoring the rock......

Can anyone identify the 3pt disc in the pic. It would have been bought (we think - maybe new or slightly used) between 1966 and 1973.

Looks like the IH that I have. Mine uses PEER Bearing ST491A Flange Bearing Triple Sealed 1 3/4" Bore FOR IH Case bearings. Best price is on e-bay.

Good solid frame disk.

Bill VA,

I have a disc that looks just like that. Mine has a little more paint on it though. My disc's frame is Blue and the arms are White and has a "Long Equipment" Stamp on it.

You can make out "LONG" in white letters on the back of the disc. Look at it, you can see L, then the O is behind the handle, then N and G to the right of the handle.

I have a Long like that. Yours is in better condition. I believe the bearings are not available now.

You need to carry a sledge hammer on the tractor to beat those rocks out of the blades and a rock box on the disk would be a good addition too.
