Looks like a lot of paint on the pickup makes me think it has not baled allot in its life time. I have a 440 wire tie and it works good.

SV, Same baler we have with a #10 thrower on it. Last year used 9000/210 plastic twine in it, worked great. Twine cutoff knives are little razor blades mounted under a swinging arm - will have to lift the knotters up to check them (not a big deal - 1 bolt in front anchors them) mostly all you can do is replace the little blades or flip over to cut on opposite corner of blade. If you need anything just post and I will keep an eye out to see how you make out.

P.S. always enjoy your posts on here. Beautiful scenery out in your neck of the woods.

SV, check the spring on the plunger emergency stop in the bale chamber. There is a spring under the bale chamber that is supposed to bring the emergency stop block up into the bale chamber whenever the knitter cycles. The spring can break and the plunger can crash into the kneedles.
Should be good baler with all twine knotted.

Thanks a bunch they used this baler last year I think and they cleaned it out nice and it looks like it should be ready to go . I?ll keep posted on how it goes .

It?s not baled a lot of hay they used hesston loafers and then went to big round bales . I?ve honestly never seen the baler move from this exact spot in my lifetime

"Auto correct sucks"

You got that right, LOL! in ONE thread... "baking" hay with a baler that has a "knitter"!

BTW, spellcheck in my version of "Firefox" says "knotter" isn't a word!

Seeing those teeth that drive the cross feed reminds me of listening to the growling noise that they make.

(quoted from post at 08:37:42 07/16/18) that baler looks in good shape s.v., the good part it's stored outa the sun and rain. post a pic of it baling for us.

Not a pic, live action video of the pick-up stuffed full of hay!!! All balers bale best with the pick-up stuffed full.
