Hello, I live in Southern Ontario and last year i bought a John deere 2555 mfwd. I was wondering what size disc it would be able to pull? I'm thinking of buying a white 252 disc either 12' or 14'. Will use it to till around 70 acres.

A 252 is a light finishing disc. 12? would be fine behind a 2555. 14 might be a little much.

I pull a 15 foot ih 370 tandem with a mounted 15 foot harrow behind a 3020 diesel power shift 55 drawbar horsepower although I think it's been
turned up and it is weighted heavy but it's also 2wd

2555 is a GREAT machine overall! There are those who discredit them because of some engineering issues. They may have valid points, but it's hard to beat this tractor when you drive it.

It's weighted such that while at 55 HP on the drawbar, this tractor will act like an 80 HP tractor, especially with the MFWD.

There's a reason Deere survived the mergers and bankruptcies of the 70s and 80s.

The 2755 tested 66 drawbar horsepower . I have duals and fluid in
the inside tires on my 3020 which Is 55 drawbar horsepower

I would take jdseller advice as he knows more about these newer
tractors than I do and this series is more of a utility tractor not a farm
tractor I was just posting what they tested horsepower wise

thanks for all the comments and advice, I just bought a white 254 13 foot disc around the corner from me. The farmer said he pulled it with a 50 hp tractor so i should be ok.

I pull a 15 foot and harrow behind 50 drawbar horsepower I have
duals and fluid and 4 front slab weights so I think you?ll be ok with
mfwd
