Case/IH Hesston 540 roiller wrapping

I've been struggling with this baler for years, hay wrapping around the upper bale chamber roller. I just spent 20 agonizing hours freeing the last and most spectacular jam. In the process all of the belts had the lacing pins pulled, and before putting everything back together I decided not to trust my aging memory and consult the belt routing diagram. It didn't jive with what I remembered, so I consulted an olf photo, and am starting to wonder if perhaps this baler came to me threaded wrong right from the beginning. I'll let the pic speak for itself. Thanks!

I have a case ih 8430 and will take a pic this morning. It's sittin the shed not hooked up but I can see if I can get a clear shot if it. I do believe you are correct. My baler very seldom plugs and if it does it's usually because the rear door is not completely closed or the hay is too wet.

I took some pics of my baler and on the right side door is a diagram of how the belts should be ran, in that diagram the right side is the front of the baler. The last pic is from the rear and the middle one is from the front, neither show much but the diagram says it all. Hope this helps, Keith

Thanks for getting those photos!

I believe that I am now confident enough that the belts are wrong to go ahead and reroute them and get everything put together again.

Thanks everyone for the help!
