Need to replace the 11lx15 on bale wagon.. I take this thing down the road 30 miles and back during hay season..
Looking at different brands like Farmboy, carlile, etc..

Any preferences here??

I'm cheap so I run tires like the 11.50X15 LT tires on things. Many times I can get them for free or les then $15 each and they hold up real well

I'm sure the overwhelming majority will say Firestone. Second place will be, "anything made in the USA." Running a close third will be, "anything NOT made in China."

I for one will say NOT Goodyear. They have a historical propensity for tread separation at the seam. Every Goodyear implement and tractor front we've ever had has separated at the seam.

I haven't seen that. I have 3 feeder wagons that came with 11Lx15 Goodyears. Two are 26 years old, the other is 14 years old. I've
replaced two of the older ones... the other 10 are still just fine.

I will say nothing from China, or India. Good tires almost always end up costing less in the long run. I usually end up with
Carlisle. Typically 10-15% more than china-made tires, but my experience is U.S. made last much longer.

I put one Carlisle 11LX15 and two 9.5X15's on a gravity box that sits out all the time and they are all in great shape still after multiple years. I think I only paid like 79.99 at Rural King for the 11Lx15. Mike

You are pretty lucky if you?ve not seen a Goodyear separate across the tread at the seam. It?s been their trademark since the 1980?s.

I spent 22 years in the tire business. Firestone do hold up better than the rest. Farm boy had a very thin casing, sorta like Titans, I am speaking from experience, I sold every major brand + a whole lot of no name brands. I would never recommend Goodyear's. I have spent way too many hours along side of the road, in the fields replacing them.. That includes their radial rear tires.

I've got a few where I can see the seam, which I don't like... but none have come apart there. But I have more Titan/Carlisle than Goodyears. Other than 9.5/11/12.5Lx15's, I have very few Goodyears. Don't have many, but no issues with Firestones.
