B Main Bearings Torque

I'm getting ready to adjust the bearings on the right side of my B, and in order to get the clearance right with plastigauge, I want to be able to be consistent on the torque. As
you may know, the bearing housing has a bit of a flange on it, so you can't really get a socket in there, it seems to have to be done with a wrench.

Thoughts?

Caps have babbit with shims. The bolts dead head or just zero clearance and I don't think there is any specific torque ratings just moderately tight...as I recall they also have caster nuts with wire retainers fed through the bolt....I would recommend plastic gauge it down to .002-.003 clearance and you should be okay....be sure you shims are equal on both sides so you will need to guage them...

After I was driving home last night, it dawned on me that the shims would only let it tighten down so much anyway.

Thanks for the confirmation!
