4020 john deere street value price in ND

Hi. I was trying to sell my dads 4020 syncro with wide front and hiniker cab this summer for 5000$ no luck. Engine is in great shape tires are fair. I am not a john deere man but based on the rear serial number it looks like a 64 model. It has 2 hyd and no 3 point. I posted it on craigslist and bisman online with pictures. Granted it is not show room condition and it has a minor radiator leak which was fixed with stop leak. But still I thought 5000 was fair for a 4020. Guess I was wrong?

My guess is the lack of 3pt hitch is gonna pull your value down some. Not sure how much tho...

I agree,, it is one of the first year and no 3pt,possibly will need a radiator soon,,guessing on the engine...it would not sell well down here ether,,the older ones need a little shine on them with good rubber to bring $6500 around here...in Central Ohio. I Love the old 4020's but I tell people looking for that size tractor to skip on up to the 40's series..less birthdays and have made less rounds...

Lack of 3 point will hurt value. I buy many side counsel tractors if nice and they are usually $10K + A guy had a below average 65 4020D[good w.f.& 3 pt w/ junk loader] He wanted me to appraise and the best salvage bid was $3750 and it was supposedly overhauled but I thought it was a 3- on scale of 10.
