Bowl vent baffles

Well I dug back into the carb on the b, and noticed the vent baffles were crushed. Took them out and cleaned the passage so now the carb has been cleaned. Now...are these baffles absolutely necessary? If so does someone know where I can get just those? Thanks

No , they are not nessessary for proper running. they are there because they raised the float level in the late gas carbs and it caused splashing of the fuel up into the vent passage.
