JD 40 Compression

"[b:654c4848f0][i:654c4848f0]Is the compression the same on an All Fuel as with a straight gasoline[/i:654c4848f0][/b:654c4848f0]"

No.

Reviewed the [b:654c4848f0]SERVICE MANUAL SM-2013 JOHN DEERE 40 SERIES TRACTORS & CRAWLERS[/b:654c4848f0] in the [b:654c4848f0]Section 40 TRACTOR TUNE-UP AND ADJUSTMENT[/b:654c4848f0] section under the [b:654c4848f0]COMPRESSION TEST[/b:654c4848f0] topic on page 40-5-2.

"[i:654c4848f0]7. Note pressure gauge reading.

The compression reading of a new engine (with rings seated) should be as follows: Gasoline - 125 psi; All-Fuel - 85 psi. Repeat this test on No. 2 cylinder. Pressure should not vary more than 10 pounds between the cylinders.[/i:654c4848f0]"

Hope this helps.
