Okay right behind the generator mounting bracket there is a tear drop shaped aluminum block that the top front end to motor bolt goes through. The block is all loose an I can't see how anything could possibly attach to it with the bracket on over it. Can't find it in the parts book. I'm running into a lot of new things on this that I haven't seen on other MF tractors that I worked on. Don't seem they would have put it on there for no reason.

If I recall it's just a spacer. Believe it has to come out of the way to get at one of the hidden oil pan bolts. It should not be loose if the front end casting bolts are tight.

Front end seems tight but I will check. The piece is cast not aluminum as I originally thought. I was just up back and looked at it again and the small end has another hole in it parallel to the large one about 3/8 diameter as a guess. Everything is so covered with a combination of hay chaff and oil so I need to get at it with the pressure washer.
