Electronic ignition I would not use the cost is to high for the help it gives. Points last a long time if you use the tractor correctly. Shoot I have tractor that have the same set of points on them for the past 10 years and they start when I need them to.

Alternator yes one like is one a Chevy pickup 1980 no power any thing no AC cost around $45 at O'Reilly's wit ha life time warranty and simple 3 wire set up which is easy to wire up
