MF 135 removing power steering pump

I have a MF 135 with the 3cyl perkins gas. The power steering pump is the same one as the diesel version which is the Cessna pump. It is leaking and I need to remove it to reseal or replace, Problem is it appears to get to the 2 mounting studs the front timing cover needs to be removed? Is this correct?

Nope, pump can be removed with timing cover in place. If I recall the mounting bolts come in from the back, but some Perkins do have PS pump bolts come in through the front. Either way, timing cover can stay in place.

Thank you diesel tech I came acoss something after posting this thread. It seems the bolt that holds alternator tensioner goes through timing case and into p/s pump, and the other I believe is below covered in grease.
