5 Star MM on LP

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone would have any idea how many of these tractors were made. I have a couple of books on MM tractors but they dont always divide out the LP models. It doesnt run and needs a starter and a dist. cap and it does have some dents in the tin, one rear tire is no good. The motor is free and the guy is asking $1500 I thought this was way to high, but I dont know. I would be buying it to resale so any help you guys could give me would be appreciated.

Why didnt MM keep better records of production numbers and serial numbers?

The only way I would pay 1500 for a fivestar of any fuel type would be running with GOOD tires. It wont sell if that much is paid for it to resell.

It is unknown at this time how many LP were made since they shared the same serial numbers with gas tractors. The data is available for later model tractors but unfortunately not the 5 Star.

It depends on the area.

$1500 for a 5 star in that condition in this area is not too far out of line.
If your looking to resale, I expect your planning on getting it running first. It's always a risk buying a non-running tractor. Otherwise it's a pile of parts. What's the pile of parts worth?

5 stars are pricey compared to other MM's around here.
