lucas transmission fix, stop slip questions

my mm445 uses transmission fluid (dextron II) to run the hydraulic, transmission and the rear axle, pto, powersteer, and the 3 point. The edge of the rear axle see pic. and the one of the hydraulic cylinder are leaking transmission oil (minor leak). If I pour the lucas transmission fix will it cause more harm than good?

glvu--my skid loader uses dexron in the hyd and drives. The hydraulic leaks. I put Lucas hydraulic stop leak in it and stopped all but 1 leak. It slowed that 1 down to almost nothing.

In tractors that have separate hydraulics from tranny used basic hydraulic oil. If rearend
and tranny hydraulics all one use a higher grade. MM were not designed to use ATF type
fluids. My experience is it is too thin. I only use ATF to unseize motors. Know nothing
about any additive to resolve a leak. There is a reason for leaking usually wear on shafts
or seals. Remember this is 60 year old technology so use 60 year old oil type!

I don't think anyone made it clear, Your tractor can leak oil through the hydraulic pump shaft seal into the transmission case and then if the transmission gets full enough it can leak out the axle.

You add transmission oil (I use 90 wt.) through the plug behind the shifter. You can check/add hydrauilc oil through the rectangular plate above where the lift control handles are located. That plate may or may not have rate/cycle levers in it on your 445.
should be 1-1/2 inches or so below the plate. That is where the Dextron 11 or 111 goes in.

If you used dexron II in the whole transmission Im betting it would leak. That is very thin oil for a rear end that was designed for 80-90w. Even 80-90w would leak out if the seal is wore much or dried out.
