Hello,
I started my 5-Star this weekend, to find oil gushing out under the radiator shroud and down the right side of the pedestal.
Thinking it was the right-hand power steering tube leaking, I removed it, but it has tested OK.
So now I am thinking oil was being pushed out the vent hole. Since I have the right-hand line removed, I am contemplating replacing all the sector piston and end plug O-rings, but I have some questions:
1) Can one run the sector piston far enough out to change the O-rings on it on each side, or does it have to come completely out?
2) Does AGCO carry these O-ring parts, or should I find O-Rings the same size on my own?
3) Is this type of symptom usually a sector piston seal leak, or should I be prepared to go into the power steering valve itself too?
Any insight on how best to do this job will be appreciated!
