thank you alan, looks like a pindle hitch type set up. I know a ac guy (bill) where I bought the plow, and i'll also check with him to see if he has one.

Here is my AF MM plow hooked on my ZAU with original style hydraulic break away set up. If you need a separate picture of just the hitch that bolts to the tractor drawbar I can take one of just that. Some companies had a "ring" that bolted to the drawbar of the tractor and had the spring release hitch on the tongue of the plow. An AC hitch will work on some MM drawbars. They had two mounting bolts where as MM just had one.

On this site under Tractor Related Items there is a listing for a Plow Hitch like you need for your plow. He says it is an Allis Chalmers, but looks like the one Dad had when we used our MM 3 bottom hydraulic plow behind our 1949 MM UTU back in the day in Illinois. Priced at $40.00 which is a bargain looks like to me. Hope you can get it. John in Sunny AZ

jr. looking at a twisted clevis raises a question if both the ring on the plow hitch and the draw bar are both flat how would a 90 degree twisted clevis set up work?

You can use a clevis if you dont have any rocks but it is actually supposed to have a spring release coupler that bolts to the drawbar. I will see if I can take a picture of one. I may have an extra one here. They are not trip bottoms on those plows so this is how they worked if you hit an obstruction.

MM had a break away coupler that bolted to tractor drawbar, it was designed to release if plow hit a rock or other solid object.

If you risk using just a clevis you would want a straight clevis, not twisted one.

It's made to use a twisted clevis. You're not missing anything.
