We are working on our 1959 MM GVI. Previous owner has messed up some thing on the hydraulic system, and it was also missing some parts when we received it. We have pieced together as much as we can and put on parts we got from another tractor. One issue we are having is once we start the tractor and basically touch the steering wheel it start to turn left automatically. You cannot turn it right at that point.
We also noticed at the same time that is happening the cylinder and pump start to get warm. We tried reversing the lines on the cylinder and all that did was stop if from turning hard left but we had no power assist then. We are not sure if we are fighting an incorrect plumbing issue, or a valve issue in pump or cylinder. Does anyone have a schematic for the hydraulic plumbing for an early GVI? Has anyone run into this issue before?
Thanks,
Ryan
