I did the worst ever this evening, trying to get things ready for spring planting and the water pump on one of my 302s went out.
I've rebuilt probably a dozen of these water pumps before......
I didn't put the time into soaking the retaining wire with oil and bumping the bearing back and forth like I should have and know to do.....
The result is that I broke the retaining wire off, about a half an inch into the housing.
Does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to get the broken piece of wire removed?
