Ive been thinking about putting a 5.9 cummins in a 670 super and was wondering if anyone had any info on what its going to take. Thanks

A bunch of custom parts, mainly because it's just not done except for possibly a couple of guys who pull them. You'll need an adaptor plate made for the flywheel housing to clutch housing. You'll need probably a custom clutch setup, and/or a custom flywheel. The live power for the hydraulics and pto hub will have to be made. This is all just for hooking the engine to the back half of the tractor. Next issue is that the m670 engine is also part of the frame, so it's structural. Now you will have to build a frame around the engine to bolt it to the frame rails, and the m670 engine is partly structural, so the 5.9 is not and you might have to make a fabricated oil pan out of 3/16 or 1/4" plate to help with the structural load. You will also most likely have to extend the frame, hood, hydraulic lines, wiring because I'm pretty sure that the 5.9 is longer than the original 4 cylinder. Now it would be a pretty sweet tractor after you were all done with it, but if you want to put a 5.9 in because your original engine isn't good or needs rebuilt, it'll probably be less than half the cost by the time you figure all of the custom work and diminished value of the tractor to rebuild the original engine.
