Larry, holler at Royse. He can rebuild it for you. Rumor has it that he does good work. Good to see you doing things again. When I was down for over a year I found little things that I could do without compromising my health. Love to see more pics from you.

No a rumor! He rebuilt one for me when I couldn't get it right. Fast turn around, tested before returning, & priced right!

Larry, Buy a can of carburetor spray and borrow an air bubble if you don't have a compressor and do it yourself. They are fairly simple and there are lots of pictures on the internet as to float settings and main and idle passages. You will feel good about doing it yourself and you will have an understanding of how a carburetor works. You will only be out a few dollars and if it doesn't work you can always send it to Royse!

I'd be happy to rebuild it for you if you don't want to do it.
I would also be more than willing to help you rebuild it.
We can do that over the phone or by email. No charge at all.
My email is open if you'd like to discuss it.

Thank you Lynn. I'm glad you're happy with it!
I still have before and after pictures of it.

Your replacement carb box is the old TISCO one, and, it says Made In USA, so that is good thing, but probably not a Marvel-Schebler made carb, most likely a clone BUT, that doesn't mean it is junk and the root cause for 'never worked good'. If it was not checked and set prior to assembling, that could've been the problem. Never trust anything new out of the box as ready to go. Even once on the tractor, it would have to be run thru the tests and tweaked as needed -no two tractors are exactly alike. I see an original stabilizer bar bracket in your last picture but don't know what the other two parts are for. here are some pix from a recent M/S carb rebuild project I did. Typical, I always blast and paint the shells before rebuilding. Here are two of several carb projectss in the paint booth...
