Just for all you snow lovers.
Figger this May be the last one of the season!!?? The snow we got last night was wet and heavy, and the Cake is starting to split apart at the middle.
I think this is the tallest snow cake we have ever had! I know this is the Most snowfall we have dealt with, in about 12 yrs. Getting too old for this stuff!!!

Hope it don't all melt at one time! You might have lakeside property!

GB,

I know just how you feel!
It's hard to stay on top of it.

O.K. so it's just the icing on the cake. :D

Sure is purdee...I'd rather have that than the 3 inches of mud we have now. If it's like last year it will be late May before it dries out. Hope you and your better half are doing well...Dan

Keeps the rift-raft out during the winter months. We had 35-49 MPH gusts for the last few weeks along with snow. You got more then us now but we had that at times several times this month. The high winds blew it to another place on the 120 acres?

Wow, Gary! Hope you laid in a three-month supply of Lucky Charms, looks like you're gonna need 'em!

The ~16" or so we got here in The Middle West the previous week is mostly gone now - temps have been in the 40°s and 50°s the past couple days with a lot of rain today and tomorrow. Back below freezing on Wednesday.

We got 2" of wet, slushy snow on Saturday, and then woke up to one of the most spectacular hoar frosts I've ever seen here, which was gone by around 10-11am.

Ed I grew up in a farm house similar to the one in your photo, porch
an all. It had a coal furnace in it and in the winter the windows had
to be sealed with newspapers, and the mice holes were stuffed with
steal wool, not to keep them out but keep them in we needed their
body heat to boost room temps and still the walls would frost up.

LOL! Our farmhouse turns 100 this year, and started out as a two-roomer. Best I can tell from completely gutting and remuddling the thing, it reached it's current "Four Squar-ish" configuration in the 1930s or so. I extended the porch around the South end and we knocked an 18' section out of the West side for an addition with a new kitchen. Plenty of miceholes are visible in the old pine flooring from where I'm sitting in my hobby/computer room, one of the last rooms yet to be remuddled.

ed, wonderful pics. as always, a joy to behold.

u remind me of another whose photos i love online, who says he is not a photographer. u both missed your calling :)

Ed, I don't know what you do for a living, but if you're not a professional photographer, then you missed your calling.
All of the pictures you post should be on calendars. Thanks for posting. Keep them coming.

Thanks… and I didn't mean to hijack your post, Gary - I only put these photos up because I know how fast you get tired of your computer desktop background pictures!

FWIW, Gary’s pic is still showing up for me...

I have a feeling that, Flembo's problem with the pic., May/Maynot, stem from him asking YT (Chris), to get rid of his "Tractor Expert"
Status for his posts.
A change like that, could?? goof around between 'Classic View' and 'Modern view'.!!????
Just a thought!!! Since I can still see my orig. pic. and Ed's pix, and knowing that we BOTH use Modern view.....it very well could be that his change, could control what he sees on my post, between the view's!!???

It's been a looong time since I've been in classic view… I think the only time I use it is to link to a video. But you could be onto something there…
