Engine issues

I have a few issues with a 9N engine rebuild. The first is the cylinder head bolts, after the engine is warmed up are leaking, both studs and head bolts. I have removed them and applied Teflon sealer to the lower threads and still have leakage issues. Second, after driving under a load, I have oil blowing out the dipstick tube. Does anyone know what may be causing these condition and what might be done to cure these issues. All new parts have been installed inside the engine and the engine has been machined too! Thanks for your time!

the engine should be able to relieve crankcase pressure thru the oil fill cap. check yours, could be plugged up.

i am curious to know why u have what sounds to be a mix of head bolts and studs - or am i misunderstanding?

Yea you do have issues dont run it anymore. First did you do it or
did someone else do the work. Your post seems to say someone else
did it. These things come up from time to time. Someone will come
along a get you fixed up. L.B, Master of the Obvious

The engine came into my shop with a mixture of studs and bolts. I have removed the oil filler cap and cleaned it, I will try another road test and see if this is what is causing the excessive pressure build up. Any other ideas on the coolant leakage?

Thanks for replying. This is a customer of mine, and their tractor. The engine has both head bolts and head studs, that's just the way it arrived at my shop and the engines serial number starts with a 9N, but it have a four speed transmission. From what I have read, the 9N's came with three speeds and the 8N's came with four speeds, so I really don't know all of the history of this tractor. I was told to re-torque the head bolts and studs after I got it warmed up. That make sense but will it take care of the problem at hand. That is why I'm here asking questions. I performed an engine overhaul, I am a ASE Master Certified Technician. I have rebuilt several engines in my 35 years doing this.
