The Boomer 8N continues to do yeoman's work running the NH 273 baler. Really like how this shot turned out - almost like a brochure photo! I was able to bale right up until dark, the relative humidity was about 28%.

Had to rush back home after morning meetings today to pick the bales up off the field! Was only around 100 bales, as I have corn on the larger part of the field this year.

Looking real good! Like the Boomer photo. Lot of first cutting done here this past week. Not as much hay these days as grass seed has taken over as the crop to raise.

Interesting on the grass [i:cdfe6d10ec]seed[/i:cdfe6d10ec]... I'm not aware of anyone doing that around here, although there are a few sod farms around. Pumpkins are the "other" crop grown in this area - there's a processing plant in one of the towns nearby.

And I guess so I have the full set in one post, here I am on the Hesston 6400 Windrower waiting on my friend to pull his planter out of the field after putting in corn.

Always like to see the pictures you post. Real professional looking. All would make great calendar photos.

Nice looking outfit.

How many hours are on it and how do you like the non hydrostat CVT?

It had 135 hours on it when I bought it, and I've put at least another 100 on it. I think I'd rather have a bolt-action transmission over the CVT, but on the other hand, the CVT does make it super-easy to modulate ground speed to windrow conditions. CVTs have been on large ag tractors for years, I believe the Boomer 8N was the first application on a compact utility.
