Hello,
I have a 1947 Ford 2N, I recently bought. I have explored these forums for a while in my pursuit of fixing issues on the tractor.
I am vaguely mechanically inclined, and I see this as a project to learn from. I do have the IT Shop manual, Service Manual, and Parts manual. I have bought all of my parts from this website. I did a search to
find some info on my question, but couldn't find anything.
Long story short, I pulled apart my steering box and the steering shaft was busted up (teeth, upper threads) and the Sector gears in the steering had chipped teeth as well, so I bought the new sector gears
(RH/LH ) and a new Steering shaft along with new bearings etc.
I may be an idiot in this matter, but looking for help.
I can not get the bottom bearing cone on the shaft, do I need to get it pressed on or am I completely wrong?

Also how do I remove and install the upper and lower bearing cups?
Thank you for the help.
