so im looking at rebuild kits for my 1950 8n and I see that I can buy a kit with .040 sleeves or .090 sleeves. If the kit comes with pistons and matching sleeves what difference dose it make witch one I buy?

Sgreany,If your talking about an N ford engine,it could have .040 sleeves or .090 sleeves or no sleeves,or oddball sizes it depends what block you have and what has been done to it.It is best to do a teardown first before ordering parts so the correct parts are obtained.Sleeves, main and rod bearings, oil pump kit.

As Den said, you need to see what's in there now before ordering.
Same goes for all the bearings. They will need to be mic'd so you
know what you have to order or you will be buying extras.
If you have to have the crank turned for example, you will need
bearings to match the turning.
