Thought for sure it was the end

I live about 25-30 miles from Oak Ridge(think Manhattan project)
Just saw a meteor (missile)headed that way,no boom so all is well

My son in law and my three grandson's and my self watched a meteor break up over Talladega AL on night while we were camping. Nobody else ever
reported seeing a thing. It was more spetacular than any fireworks I've ever seen. Lit up the whole sky and earth.

That was at least 20 years ago and still vivid in my mind

This one didn't even flare out,it was like a big rock coming down
Shielded my eyes for impact,but...nothing...good thing
Weird,looked big enough to hit?...at least to me it did

just like zane , i was camping and a few of us were sitting around a fire and i saw what i call a fire ball cross the sky . of course i was the only one that seen it so everyone else was looking up and here came another one . you could of heard a pin drop , waiting for impact .

Thought for sure it was the end
