Used my 1960 1800A gas, to disk about 15 acres of cornstalks. Have newer, and more efficient tractors, but need to work the old ones occasionally. The wife took some pictures, will try to post. Thanks to John Schwiebert, who freely gave advice to get the old girls transmission working again a few years back. Steve.

There's no reason why the old girl would not do the job.
Older Cockshutts are pretty much all i have and use.;)

Thanks for the pictures! To me, there's just something about duals on an open station tractor that just make it look mean. Reminds me of when we used to do most of the farm work with the 1950-T. Ahh the memories.

Nic pics. Spent a good portion of my youth either riding the fender (1970's) or as I got older (early 1980's)driving our Oliver 1800A gasser.

To this day it remains my all time favorite tractor to work ground with and it frequently outpulled its rated hp. Was not a fuel hog either.

I live in Marathon County half way between Wausau, and Marshfield. Many of the bigger farmers are putting soybeans in already. Seems a little early for Central Wisconsin.

I also have an 1800A, a 1961 model. Occasionally it also gets hooked to a disk. Our residence is north Wood County, east of Marshfield. Lots of Oliver equipment was sold in this area back in the day. We had 5 dealers in this area back then.
