1955 brakes

I have a 1955 oliver that the brakes seem to be stuck on and it isn't the park brake. Im hoping that it is just and adjustment. How do I adjust them?

I was just looking up something else about 55 series brakes and I was reminded of several other brake problems caused by rust in the parking brake. Has this tractor set with the parking brake on causing this problem? When you reply post the tractor serial number as well. It has been over 41 years since I have done this and I have forgotten more than a few things. J.

Are they the same as a 2-105 John? If they are,the first thing I'd do is pop those caps off, loosen the lock nuts and back off on the allen head bolts.

The parking brake didn't work on my 105 when I got it. I took those caps off.loosened the lock nuts, turned those allen head bolts in all the way, then backed them out a half turn to make it right,so I'm thinking that if you were to do the opposite,it might be the place to start.

1955 brakes should be the same as 2-105, so, yeah, you should be able to pop the caps off and try adjusting it, but if it's stuck on it could be a hydraulic problem too.
